Are you playing in the dirt this spring? A whole lot of us are. According to gardening trends research conducted by the Garden Media Group, seed sales of all kinds jumped 30 to 50 percent in 2011 and there was a 20 percent increase in people growing their own veggies last year.

How will the winner be selected and notified?
We will pick one winner. The individual who sends the winning submission will receive a free $50 Visa gift card. The winning entry will be selected based on the following criteria:

• You include a short description of your gardening plans. The Synergy editorial team will determine which entry best meets these criteria and our decisions are final. We will mail the winner an affidavit of eligibility. Upon receipt of the affidavit, we will mail your prize to the address provided
