For this contest, we want a good example of how health can be promoted in the workplace, sometimes in subtle ways. Specifically, send us a short description about how a leader within your organization has done something positive -- intentionally or not -- to demonstrate or promote health and wellness among employees. It could be as simple as a manager who started jogging, and others in the department began doing it, too. Or maybe they began eating healthier lunches, started a fitness program, or quit smoking. Anything is fair game. The only criteria is whether their healthy ‘tude was contagious and spread to others.

Here's how it works.

If your entry wins, we’ll send YOU a cool 12" LCD photo frame, and we’ll send the inspirational leader you describe the First Annual A.D.A.M. Apple Award for Work & Wellness.

Who is eligible?

This contest is open to all U.S. residents, unless otherwise restricted in these rules. No purchase is necessary. This contest is sponsored by A.D.A.M., Inc. Void where prohibited. A.D.A.M., Inc. employees and non-U.S. residents are not eligible.

How do you submit your entry?

There are two ways to submit your entry -- by email or regular mail.

To submit by email:

• Send an email with the following subject line: Health from the top down contest.
• Include the following in the email: a brief description about how a leader in your organization has inspired health and wellness in the workplace, your first and last name, email address, street address, and a phone number where we can reach you.
• Email your entry to: contest@adamcorp.com

To submit by regular mail:

• Send a brief description about how a leader in your organization has inspired health and wellness in the workplace, your first and last name, street address, and a phone number where we can reach you.

We will use your phone number to contact you in the event you win. Your address is needed to mail the prize. We will NOT use your phone number or address for any other reason.

All entries must be submitted by March 31, 2008.

How will the winner be selected and notified?

We will pick one winner. The individual who sends the winning submission will receive a 12" LCD photo frame, and your nominee will get the First Annual A.D.A.M. Apple Award for Work & Wellness. The winning entry will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Your entry was received by the deadline.

2. You include a brief description about how your organization's leader has inspired health and wellness in the workplace.

3. Your entry could inspire others to start promoting healthy activities.

The A.D.A.M. editorial team will determine which entry bests meet these criteria, and our decisions are final. A.D.A.M. will mail the winner an affidavit of eligibility. Upon receipt of the affidavit, A.D.A.M. will mail your prize to the address provided.
